Defibrillation Effect & Energy Tester Description
The KP3301 (and advanced KP3301B) is a high-reliability defibrillation effect and energy tester designed for testing protection against defibrillation pulses in medical devices such as ECG monitors, multi-parameter patient monitors, electrocardiographs, and ECG leads. It delivers precise defibrillation simulation pulses up to ยฑ5.5kV, supports common-mode and differential-mode protection tests, energy reduction measurement, and residual/hazardous voltage (Y1-Y2) calculations. With built-in standards compliance, automatic/manual modes, and optional auto lead switching (KP3301B), this tester ensures accurate, repeatable results for design verification, type testing, and regulatory registrationโmeeting key requirements of IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-25/26/27/30/34/49, GB9706 series, YY0828, and EC13/EC53.
Product Features
- High-voltage capability with main capacitor of 32ฮผF ยฑ5% rated at 8kV, using imported solid capacitors and high-voltage vacuum relays for superior durability and reliability.
- Flexible test circuits with integrated resistance (10ฮฉ/11ฮฉ auto-switch, 50ฮฉ/100ฮฉ/400ฮฉ ยฑ1%) and inductance (500ฮผH/25mH ยฑ5%) settingsโone-click selection per applicable standards.
- Comprehensive testing functions including defibrillation effect protection (common/differential mode) for ECG/respiration, energy reduction tests with direct Joule calculation, and automatic residual voltage/hazardous voltage (Y1-Y2) measurement to eliminate oscilloscope interference errors.
- Internal signal simulation for realistic testing: sine wave 10Hz (0.5~10mV, default 5mV) and respiration rate 5~60 rpm (default 27 rpm).
- User-friendly interface with 7-inch LCD touchscreen, digital voltage/polarity control (resolution 1V, accuracy ยฑ1%), and automatic/manual test modes.
- Energy test mode using 25mH inductance, displaying resolution of 1 Joule (no-load theoretical values: ~364J at 10ฮฉ, ~360J at 11ฮฉ).
- Optional automatic defibrillator lead converter box (KP3301B model) for fully automated ECG lead switchingโno manual intervention required.
- Key Highlights & Advantages
- Superior Reliability & Longevity โ Built with premium imported solid capacitors and vacuum relays, offering exceptional stability and interference resistance compared to traditional setups.
- Automated & Efficient Testing โ KP3301B enables fully automatic lead switching and testing, significantly reducing manual effort and improving throughput for high-volume production or certification labs (vs. manual switching on KP3301).
- Accurate, Interference-Free Measurements โ Built-in automatic calculation of residual/dangerous voltage (Y1-Y2) avoids errors from external oscilloscope defibrillation interference.
- One-Click Standards Compliance โ Pre-integrated test circuits for major standards (IEC 60601 series, GB9706, YY0828, EC13/EC53), simplifying setup and ensuring repeatable, regulation-ready results.
- Versatile & Professional-Grade โ Supports both manual and automatic modes with precise digital control, ideal for R&D, quality assurance, regulatory testing, and educational/training applications.
