What is the difference between Go and Not Go lamp cap gauges?

Go gauges verify that the lamp cap dimensions do not exceed the maximum allowable tolerances (the cap must fit into the gauge). Not Go gauges check that the dimensions are not smaller than the minimum required tolerances (the cap must not fit).
