How the IPX5/IPX6 Water Jet Test Is Performed
During testing, the specimen is positioned at the required distance from the nozzle. The operator selects the corresponding IPX5 or IPX6 nozzle, adjusts the water flow to the required value, and directs the water jet toward the enclosure from all practical directions.
The test is intended to evaluate whether water enters the enclosure in a way that may affect product safety, function or reliability. After the test, the specimen is inspected according to the product standard, test plan or customer-defined acceptance criteria.
