2000–2010

The company was initially operated by senior family members. Its predecessor was established around 2000, focusing on the design, manufacturing, and sales of precision gauges strictly compliant with IEC electrical safety testing standards. This period built a solid foundation of expertise in precision machining and metrology calibration.

2010

Current CEO Bruce Zhang (Zhang Chao) took over the company and independently established KingPo Technology Development Limited (registered capital RMB 5 million, headquartered in Songshan Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Dongguan). The business transformed from family operation to a specialized R&D and manufacturing enterprise focused on IEC-related testing instruments. A dedicated R&D team was quickly formed, launching series products such as battery testers and environmental chambers.

2011

Thanks to the outstanding quality and precision of its testing equipment and gauges, the company was included in the IEC Recommended Supplier List and obtained CBTL accreditation, officially joining the IECEE system — a major milestone in gaining international recognition.

2013

Established the Global Sales Service Center in Hong Kong to strengthen international market expansion, customer service, and after-sales support, enhancing KingPo’s global presence and responsiveness.

2015

Awarded the Dongguan Science and Technology Progress Award. Established a dedicated Product Research Institute. Successfully developed the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software, certified by the China National Institute of Standardization, marking the transition toward becoming a comprehensive solution provider.

2016

Annual sales exceeded RMB 50 million. Obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification and SGS “Qualified Supplier Declaration”. Purchased a 3,000 m² self-owned R&D center opposite Huawei Terminal (Sanya Po), significantly enhancing independent innovation capability. Established the Medical Testing Equipment R&D Division, focusing on safety testing solutions for medical devices. Received a 99.9% pure gold appreciation plaque from CTK (a leading Korean testing organization) in recognition of long-term excellent performance and reliable partnership.

2018

Launched national R&D project on 8K video signal sources, advancing high-definition display testing technology. Company representative was invited to attend the 82nd IEC General Meeting (Note: The 83rd IEC General Meeting was held in Shanghai in 2019, where the CEO was also invited, further demonstrating KingPo’s influence in international electrotechnical standardization

2021

Participated project “Automated Energy Efficiency Testing System for Flat-panel TVs” won the Technical Innovation Application Achievement Award from China Society of Inspection and Testing (CSIT). Strengthened global cooperation and continued innovation in testing solutions. Examples include software copyrights such as the “Mask Particulate Filtration Efficiency Testing System” (Registration No. 2020SR0697708).

2022

Secured key patents and software copyrights (e.g., related to mask particulate filtration efficiency testing system and impact testing apparatus such as CN205138914U), contributing to a growing portfolio of intellectual property registered with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). Subsidiary Hisibel obtained patent CN216745941U for CSAR mobile phone automated testing device. CEO Bruce Zhang (Zhang Chao) became a member of Working Group W13 of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Safety of Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use (SAC/TC118), further participating in national electrical safety standard formulation.

2023

Invested in and established Dongguan Hisibel Technology Co., Ltd. as a holding subsidiary, registered in Dongguan Songshan Lake National High-Tech Zone. Hisibel is dedicated to advancing the intelligent testing industry, specializing in test system integration, test tool development, test solution formulation, and laboratory management system development, with a strong focus on CSAR automated testing systems and SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) automated testing for electromagnetic radiation in wireless devices such as mobile phones. In 2023, the company’s production and manufacturing operations were relocated to a new factory covering an area of 10,000 square meters, significantly expanding production capacity, improving manufacturing efficiency, and providing a modern, high-standard facility to meet growing global demand and stricter quality requirements. CEO Bruce Zhang (Zhang Chao) was invited to serve as a postgraduate career mentor at the School of Electronics and Intelligent Engineering, Dongguan University of Technology, contributing to talent cultivation and industry-academia collaboration.

2024

Jointly developed “Multi-parameter Intelligent Data Acquisition System for Electricity-Thermal-Radiation” project received the Third Prize of Science and Technology Award from China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association. Hisibel secured patent CN114526677B for CSAR mobile phone automated testing device and method, further strengthening automated testing capabilities in wireless and electromagnetic fields. CEO Bruce Zhang (Zhang Chao) became a member of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Safety of Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use (SAC/TC338), deepening contributions to standardization in measurement, control, and laboratory electrical safety. Established a service office in South Korea to provide localized technical support, maintenance, and customer service for the Korean market.

2025

Delivered advanced testing equipment (such as vertical stripe signal generators and pink noise generators) to Intertek and TÜV SÜD Southeast Asia. Actively participated in drafting multiple national and industry standards as a key drafting unit, including GB/T 42125.9-2025 “Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use – Part 9: Particular requirements for automatic and semi-automatic equipment for analysis and other purposes” and GB/T 42125.6-2025 “Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use – Part 6: Particular requirements for laboratory equipment for the heating of materials”

2021–2026 (Ongoing)

Published related technical papers in SCI Q2 core journals, enhancing academic influence. In 2026, CEO Bruce Zhang (Zhang Chao) became a member of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Laboratory Instruments and Equipment (SAC/TC526), continuing to play an important role in the standardization of laboratory instruments and equipment. As of March 2026, KingPo Technology Development Limited (including its subsidiary Hisibel) has grown into a leading global supplier of testing equipment. The company holds over 16 patents (utility models, inventions, etc.) and 13 software copyrights registered with CNIPA, plus additional patents held by Hisibel (e.g., in CSAR/SAR automated testing), along with dozens of core intellectual properties. Maintains AAA-level tax credit rating and qualified supplier status with 76 Fortune Global 500 companies.
